The system life cycle
The role of the system analyst is to analyse how the system work and to suggest for improvement. This may involve in changing systems from manual paper base system to an automated computer controlled system. Also suggesting way to improve existing computer-based systems.
The system life cycle sets out stages that take place when a system is designed and developed. There are many ways to represent the cycle with varying amounts of detail and different numbers of stage.
Each of the stage involve in different task, but also important to realise that progress from one stage to the next is not automatic. At some part of the cycle question would be asked as to whether the requirements of the system are being met. If not, it may be necessary to return to the previous stage and rework the outcomes of that stage.
