Output devices

Once the data is entered into a system, it is processed and an output is produced. This output can be presented to the user is a variety of way: for an example of printed document.

 

Speaker: output audio, music or sound effects.

Advantage:

Disadvantage:

  • May annoy people who work in offices.
  • High quality speaker can be expensive.

 

Multimedia Projector: is project on a large board where lots of people can see.

Advantage:

Disadvantage:

  • Lower image quality compare to a computer screen.
  • Very expensive to buy.

 

TFT monitor: is thin flat screen for computer used.

Advantage:

  • Light weight so they are perfect for portable laptop.

Disadvantage:

  • Image can appear unclear when view from different angle.
  • Lower picture quality.

 

 

 

Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) Monitor: presents text and graphics visually using a cathode ray tube but being gradually replaced by LCD based screens.

Advantage:

  • Bright, clear display.
  • Low initial cost.
  • Can display text, graphics, photos and videos.
  • Reading documents on screen saves paper.
  • A wide viewing angle.
